Further to iFaqeer's comment, where would social innovation fit in? Take the example of the OPP (Orangi Pilot Project). It was a form of social innovation that has been imitated and replicated by several others. It also involved developing local, low-cost solutions (especially for sanitation), which constituted new ways of doing things. The word "technology" often does not include such activites, but these are arguably some of the best examples of this genre produced in Pakistan. May be we need to use the term "social technology" to include these specifically.
